THE YOGA OF IMAGINATION RETREAT 2009

Imagination is evidence of the Divine.

All the wise ones, ancient and modern are saying that the time is upon us for great change. We are being called to rise beyond that which we were given, to create that which we most want; for ourselves, for our children and for the world. It is time for us to envision...more hope, more love, more peace and more joy. We have the tools to make this vision reality. The tools are centuries old, time tested and powerful. The tools are the Eight Limbs of Yoga. Put in service to our souls, these tools can transform our lives.

Just how good can it get?

Jennie Lee’s Yoga of Imagination Retreat in Troncones, Mexico  provides the time, space, and guidance, using the Eight Limbs of Yoga as tools, for you to imagine your most glorious life. Only you can answer how good it can get, by stepping into the farthest realms of your imagination and taking your toolbox with you to construct the life you've always wanted. Dream big, broad colorful dreams about what can be. The world depends on it; on you, and on me. There is no time other than NOW-- to step all the way in. Heal, forgive, accept, clear, expand and enjoy.

The possibilities are infinite.

Each of the 8 days will focus on one of the 8 Limbs of Yoga.

Itinerary

We will greet each day with a silent meditation, followed by an easy flowing yoga practice. The day's Limb of Yoga will be introduced. After a healthy, gourmet breakfast overlooking the sea, the rest of the day will be free for activities around our dramatic and tranquil retreat center. Opportunities are plentiful…surf, hike, horseback ride, kayak, swim, have a massage, or just stroll the beach. Breakfast & lunch are provided.

Individual Transformative Yoga Therapy™ consultations will be available by request to help facilitate full integration of group work and to encourage practical manifestation of personal visions and healing.

In the early evening, through discussion, movement, group process and personal reflection, we will  discover how each of the 8 Limbs of Yoga support us in our movement toward more joyful and passionate living.

Our lives change when we change how we live.

When we step away from the busyness of life and submerge ourselves in  stillness,  Divine guidance and intuition appears. Whether you come to heal something in your life, initiate a new project or intention, or just relax and rejuvenate yourself, you will experience self-discovery and spiritual unfolding --through movement, teachings and time for self reflection, this retreat will lead you to a deeper connection with yourself, others and the great Mystery within and around us.  It is time to claim your Joy, ignite your passions and envision what calls you into full aliveness.

It is time to live the life of your wildest imagination.

What participant's say about Present Moment Retreat Center

"The location and accommodations were fabulous. The staff was wonderful. I have never felt so totally saturated in natural beauty and opportunities for self-indulgence. I loved the food, and it was nice to be able to go out and check out one or two of the local restaurants. The entertainment in the evenings was great as well."

" Present Moment has created a delicious oasis for us to retreat from the familiar and experience true magic... simply divine."

" The staff who did the massages were incredibly skilled and sensitive and responsive to my needs. They took the time to find out where I was at and what I needed and in some cases set intentions for the session. They also gave me very helpful feedback regarding what they observed doing the massage & energy work with me and made recommendations for exercises and other strategies that I could do when I returned home. I can honestly say that the trip exceeded my (high) expectations in all respects."

"Everyone at Present Moment went above and beyond and made it a delightful experience – all customer service oriented, kind and friendly. "

What Past Participants Have to Say

"I think you did an amazing job putting the curriculum together for the week. The fact that it was interactive and experiential made the classes so much more effective and meaningful. You weren't just hearing about concepts - you were able to experience them. It also contributed to the powerful sense of community and bonding among the participants. It was great that you made yourself so fully available to everyone for individual sessions. I feel that I've taken steps bringing me closer to a life of balance and joy. It's a journey but I came away with a sense of forward momentum. " ~ Yvonne Allard

"Your guidance with different breathing techniques helped me to expand my own experience deeply while I was there and now that I am home.  For this I am so grateful.  The one on one exercise’s we did were beautifully prepared and executed.  I found them to be quite meaningful in helping the group to establish trust with one another.  I had a perfect time.  I loved the retreat and I am grateful to have been a part of it.  Thank you, thank you." ~ Janice Judd

"The yoga within the retreat was personally challenging for me as a novice who had not attended even a single yoga class before.  I felt encouraged, supported, and invited to participate at my own comfort level, while understanding that in pushing myself to the edge, breathing through the sabotaging thoughts, and staying, I was able to improve my yoga skills during the course of a week. It was a wonderful lesson on many levels, a lesson I take home with me and apply to life as it is here and now."

 ~ Sally McCue

"The best trip I have ever taken- spiritually mentally and physically." ~ Melanie Gompers

"I went to the retreat for a few reasons: to get more physically, emotionally, and spiritually balanced - to check out of the constant pressure and schedule. The retreat was PERFECT for that! In the beginning you had invited us to stop living according to our head but rather tune into our hearts and bodies and let them lead. The place had everything I needed to do that: physical movement and nurturance (thank you to all those massages); good food; the ability to be perfectly alone or with others; the invitation to plum deeper into our hearts. What could be better? Oh yeah, the occasional margarita was great too." ~ Suzanne Dubus

"I loved learning about the eight limbs—because it very slowly dawned on me that “yoga” is actually a mode of living.  And that’s so cool I found I wanted to get more insight into that.  The option of having one on ones was really quite perfect—totally complemented the whole retreat." ~ Kristin Glasfeld

Jennie Lee is the owner of the Stillness in Motion Studio for Yoga & Wellness in Newburyport, MA. Specializing in Transformative Yoga Therapy™, Jennie Lee believes her purpose is to assist individuals in remembering their Divinity, beyond their human story and present experience. With this always at heart, she says she meets people where they are.

"Transformative Yoga Therapy™ is the therapeutic application of yoga movement, breath and awareness to facilitate clearing and balancing. Whether I am helping someone rehabilitate an injury through yoga movement, release an emotional trauma through pranayama, or let go of a limiting belief that is keeping their life stuck in some way, I always hold the vision that they will find their way back to a knowing of themselves as Divine beings. This is the foundation from which I teach....a  heartfelt belief that we are all ONE and that as we journey inward through many layers of self knowing; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, we realize that we are not our stories, but rather aspects of Divine Oneness. By unpeeling layers of stuff that have made us forget this truth, we become clearer, freer, more peaceful, more able to experience joy and love."

Known for her creative and compassionate approach to teaching yoga, Jennie incorporates an eclectic mix of styles, which students appreciate as being challenging yet totally accessible. Jennie works with both individuals and groups and teaches how to live more fulfilling and expansive lives through the practices of yoga, meditation, authenticity, mindfulness and self healing.
